Why do you like or dislike Css Globe

I plan to make some changes to this site in the near future, I will update some things, some new features coming up and perhaps some features will be gone.

Since this site is all about you dear readers, it’s crucial for me to know what is it that you like about this site, what features would you like to have, what direction should this site take.

I kindly ask you to comment, I will use your thoughts as a guide in the new development process.

As a long-time subscriber I love CSS Globe because it's the best source of design news. I like that designers/bloggers have the opportunity to share excellent content with each other. The only thing I would change is more articles/tutorials from you Alen, but I know time is the issue.

Since you asked... ;-) I've followed CSS Globe for longer than any other community for two reasons 1) the website's simplicity and 2) the content. You've done a terrific job with the design. You've kept it simple and easy to read. I much rather come here than other community websites for that reason alone. You've also done an excellent job monitoring the posts. I really don't care about the latest free WordPress theme. I care about new ways of coding, insights from other designers, new tutorials, etc. Beyond that, I like the "My Favorites" feature especially when I miss a day or two and am scrolling the list for interesting articles. I do wonder though if adding a tag cloud would be beneficial for searching the archives. Just a thought.

Since the articles on the left hand side tend to stay the same a lot of the time I come for the Community News. I've discovered lots of new techniques and ideas through that. I think it's the strong point of the site and it's why I keep coming back.

Thanks for the thoughts folks! First off all I suggest to all of you that wanted full feeds, I already have those, check out <a href="" title="css news feed">RSS feeds</a> page :) Thanks for the kind words, it's great to hear that I am on the right track. Steven mentioned article writing... sorry for not being able to write more, I am trying to sort some things out in my professional life and I hope to have more time to write then. I am redesigning and realigning this place, I will send a preview soon. The community news section will have even more focus plus in time there will be some new features... Stay tuned and thanks for the support! :)

How about a link feed? I subscribe to many of the sites you quote/link to, which means I often wind up with two new entries in my inbox. If you had a feed where you only added new sites you've discovered, I'd prefer to subscribe to that instead.

CSS Globe is great but it would be also great if you can show the name of the Website, where you got the post from, right after the title. Like the previous comment from Benny. Many times I already subscribed to the website directly already. So if you have a post from you could say Great CSS Style for Webdesign | Also would be great if you can categorize the posts and have feeds for every category, so people can subscribe to specific categories like CSS, Photoshop, AJAX, Design.... But I guess this would be too much to ask for. Besides that, great work, keep going!

More Tutorials. Maybe video tutorials. More real world examples of sites and the process of web development of those sites.

My biggest complaint is when reading via my RSS reader, that when you link to other resources or articles, I have to stop at CSS Globe before i get to the resource or article. It's totally unnecessary. Let the primary link go directly to the resource. If it an article or resource on CSS Globe by all means let the primary link go to this site. But take a note from many other sites and link us right to the article/resource. Don't force us to stop at this site to see it.

I like CSS Globe because it helps to encourage me to think hard about implementing different instances of CSS that I hadn't necessarily thought of earlier (coming from an old school html/php background).

Hi There, Love your site. I feel that it is missing a search button. Maybe you have already thought about it and decided not to put it?
