Clipped tooltips: portals, the top layer and CSS anchors

Draft fixtures. Expected outcomes below are test instructions, not completed test results. No external requests, dependencies or analytics.

Fixture list and exact steps

  1. P06-F1: clipped baseline. Focus or hover Clipped description. The large description is intentionally positioned beyond its small clipping box. Record whether the full border and final words are visible.
  2. P06-F2: body portal. Focus or hover Portal description. Move the pointer onto the description; then press Escape. Record visibility, continued focus and dismissal. Scroll and resize while it is open; record placement.
  3. P06-F3: top layer. Repeat with Top-layer description. Read the feature-detection status first. Unsupported is not a pass.
  4. P06-F4: CSS anchor. Repeat with Anchored description. Record support detection, placement and Escape. CSS syntax support is not evidence of correct positioning.
  5. P06-F5: touch/teardown. Tap a trigger on a touch device, then Dismiss all. Activate Disable fixtures; record that descriptions close. Activate Enable fixtures and repeat one focus/escape case. Mouse clicks do not establish touch support.
