   When we started out we followed a similar approach. However, it became rapidly apparent that the design is entirely the wrong place to begin the project. Content is what drives people to your site, it's what keeps them, it's what converts them. A website's architecture, design, features and style all act to reinforce the content. As such, our emphasis lies on finalising content completely before even looking at design. That way we can create a design that complements and presents the content effectively, rather than designing a website and just chucking in a few paragraphs of text afterwards. How often have you redesigned a site due to a client's content being more/less/other than you expected? By signing off content before design, it also allows our design team to work in context. 'Design a site for a cricket club' becomes 'design a way to present this information'. Much more context, and allows them to consider usability and accessibility right from the word go.

   I completely agree with Jono. It's so important to document everything before you open Photoshop otherwise you may be creating a lot more work for yourself later.

   hell, yes! I can just agree with the folks before - taking an example out of real life: yesterday my beloved one decided we should do some planing of her boss' website - 5 minutes after looking throu some design samples we got to the point: what does your company want do to? present itself, doing projects for customers. so: its all about the content! ;)
