One place to make your website look current is in the copyright text at the bottom of the page. This is obvious but many sites have overlooked their copyright year.

    That doesn't likely matter at all in a blog type situation.

    I see some publishing companies are copyrighting their books the year after it comes out to make them appear more recent. Perhaps they register them at that time.
